Modules:

This qualification is a licence to practise for those working on fluorinated gases (F-gases) and ozone-depleting substances (ODS) on stationary refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump system equipment in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.

Modules:

C&G 2079-11 : Category 1: Level 2 Award - Leak detection, recovery, installation, service and maintenance
C&G 2079-12 : Category 2: Level 2 Award - Installation, service & maintenance of equipment with a charge of less than 3kg (6kg if hermetically sealed) and leakage checking
C&G 2079-13 : Category 3: Level 2 Award - Recovery of refrigerant
C&G 2079-14 : Category 4: Level 2 Award - Leakage checking

This one day course provides experienced engineers with essential skills and knowledge to safely handle Hydrocarbon (HC) refrigerant during installation, service, maintenance and disposal.

The training is a mix of theory and practical training and delegates must already hold a C&G 2079-11 or equivalent qualification.

Modules J01 to J08 of the cskills refrigeration awards scheme are for the safe handling and recovery of refrigerants (including ammonia) out of the scope of the F-Gas Regulations, pipework and brazing, and the safe handling and recovery of refrigerants for the automotive sector.

Modules:

cskills J01 : Safe Handling - Refrigerants out of the scope of the F-Gas Regulations
cskills J02 : Safe Handling of Ammonia - Refrigerants out of the scope of the F-Gas Regulations
cskills J06 : Recovery - Refrigerants out of the scope of the F-Gas Regulations
cskills J07 : Safe Handling (Automotive) - Refrigerants out of the scope of the F-Gas Regulations
cskills J08 : Recovery (Automotive) - Refrigerants out of the scope of the F-Gas Regulations
If you install, service and repair, recover or leak check refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump systems, this scheme meets the requirements of the Environmental Protection Act and specifically EC Regulation 842/2006 (commonly known as the ‘F Gas Regulation’). It is for refrigeration engineers who need to renew or extend their scheme categories. It is also for businesses seeking company certification under Sections 23 and 24 of the Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases (FGG) Regulations 2009; engineers holding a Cskills Awards J11-J14 will assist businesses in meeting the requirements of the FGG regulations.

Modules:

cskills J11 : Category 1 - Leak detection, recovery, installation, service and maintenance
cskills J12 : Category 2 - Installation, service and maintenance of equipment with a chanrge of less than 3kg (6kg if hermetically sealed) and leakage checking
cskills J13 : Category 3 - Recovery of refrigerant
cskills J14 : Category 4 - Leakage checking
